Clear Sailing Ahead
A nice weather week ahead, with mostly sunny skies and temps in the low to mid 80s. There is a chance of a pop of t-storm on Saturday, but for the most part it’s clear sailing ahead!!
It’s the perfect time to take it to the water. How about a Water Ski show. They’re still a thing, and there are two coming up on some of CT’s nicest inland waterways. The Bantam Lake Ski Club will be hosting their annual Ski Show on August 13th and 14th. They launch from Sandy Beach in Litchfield. Are you more of the land lubber? Check out the Jerk Fest/ West Indian Parade this weekend on Columbus Blvd in Hartford. This free, family, friendly event will offer authentic Caribbean cuisine, island beverages, colorful costumes, live music performances, dance and more.

New this year, visitors can board the Seaport Association’s 45-foot C.J. Toth catamaran for a cruise to Sheffield Island Lighthouse for a barbecue. Step into a magical environment all aflutter with exotic tropical butterflies in this special walk-through encounter! “Flutter Zone” will features dozens of varieties of beautiful butterflies from Asia and South America, all free-flying among Aquarium visitors.
